You must be able to read technical drawings and blueprints, and should be familiar with precision measuring tools. It is important to have a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, as well as basic math and computer skills. Knowledge of machining principles and materials is essential for this role. Additionally, you should be able to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods of time.
