Job Description

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for day-to-day sample handling and pre-processing, including DNA/RNA extractions and quality control. Additionally, you will be involved in autoclaving and handling biowaste in the laboratory. You will prepare basic solutions, perform base-level procedures as assigned, and ensure the overall maintenance of the laboratory and equipment. It is important that you are able to work late hours, around 20% of the time in a month, and that you understand and apply basic scientific techniques. You will also be setting up and preparing routine experiments as directed. Desired Skills: - Work flexibly and independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced scientific environment. - Strong desire to learn new NGS workflows and interest in applying NGS tools to answer challenging questions. - Experience with Laboratory Information Systems. - Computer literacy. - Strong analytical skills. - Critical thinker. - Great communication skills. Eligibility: - B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field. - Freshers are welcome. 1-2 years of experience related to the life sciences and biotechnology industry. - Experience in next-generation sequencing workflows is preferred. - Hands-on experience in library preparation of NGS, automated DNA extractor.
