Job Description

  • As a Lab Technician at JKKN Dental College and Hospital, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by facilitating high-quality dental laboratory services

  • You will work closely with faculty, students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of our dental laboratory
  • Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the advancement of dental education, research, and patient care

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of dental laboratory procedures, including fabrication, repair, and maintenance of dental prostheses, appliances, and orthodontic devices.
  • Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure accurate and timely completion of laboratory assignments.
  • Maintain and organize laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Assist in research projects by conducting laboratory experiments, collecting data, and participating in data analysis.
  • Provide technical support and training to students, interns, and residents on laboratory procedures and equipment usage.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and advancements in dental laboratory techniques and technologies.
  • Uphold strict infection control protocols and safety standards within the laboratory.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures, test results, and patient information.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a diploma or bachelors degree in Dental Technology, Dental Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working as a Dental Lab Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in various dental laboratory techniques, including CAD/CAM systems, crown and bridge fabrication, denture construction, and orthodontic appliance production.
  • Knowledge of dental materials, their properties, and appropriate usage.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for intricate tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
