Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support the operations of our Microbiology Laboratory. The role involves preparation and maintenance of microbiological cultures, assisting with academic practical sessions, ensuring the proper functioning of lab equipment, and maintaining thorough records in compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and dispose of microbiological cultures, media, and reagents according to standard procedures.
  
• Monitor and ensure the proper functioning and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  
• Assist faculty during student practical sessions and demonstrations, ensuring smooth execution of experiments.
  
• Maintain accurate records of experimental data, inventory, and laboratory activities.
  
• Implement and follow laboratory safety standards, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  
• Conduct routine cleaning and sterilization of laboratory equipment and workspaces.
  
• Assist in inventory management and procurement of lab supplies and materials.
