Job Description

Important Note : Lab senior chemistry in waste water treatment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chemist to join our team, focusing on water and wastewater treatment processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in analytical chemistry and environmental science, with hands-on experience in laboratory testing and process optimization within water treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities Laboratory Analysis: Conduct routine and advanced chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples, including parameters such as: Ion analysis Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) Oxygen Uptake Rate (OUR) Sludge Volume Index (SVI) pH, alkalinity, hardness, and other physicochemical parameters *Jar Testing:* Perform jar tests to simulate coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation processes, optimizing chemical dosages and pH levels for effective treatment. *Chemical Treatment Optimization:* Assist in the selection and dosage calculation of coagulants, flocculants, and disinfectants to enhance treatment efficiency. *Biological System Monitoring:* Monitor and analyze biological treatment parameters, ensuring optimal microbial activity and system performance. *Quality Control:* Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols and regulatory standards in all laboratory procedures. *Data Management:* Maintain accurate records of test results, prepare reports, and contribute to process performance evaluations. *Collaboration:* Work closely with plant operators and engineers to provide analytical support and recommend improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within a water or wastewater treatment plant. Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation. Knowledge of water quality standards and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
