Role & Responsibilities As part of the team, your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client/third party contracts. You will liaise with internal stakeholders, business teams, and senior management to resolve complex contractual issues in a timely manner. It is crucial to gain a deep understanding of contractual/legal concepts and provide clarifications on legal concerns to senior management and business teams. Working under tight deadlines within the legal and risk framework of the firm, you will be expected to provide quick solutions to ensure smooth closure of contracts/agreements. Negotiating with clients/third parties on contractual matters, escalating critical issues internally, assessing risks, and seeking support to close contracts promptly are essential tasks. Additionally, you will need to understand firm policies, frameworks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to your role, update SOPs, train junior team members, and contribute to simplifying processes, automation, and innovation within the team. Developing a broad understanding of the firm's risk management policies is also part of the role. Maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accuracy in all dealings to avoid exposing the firm to undue risk is paramount. Adhering to legal, regulatory, and internal risk procedures, remaining independent and objective at all times, is crucial. THE INDIVIDUAL To excel in this role, you should demonstrate proficiency in working with Microsoft Office tools and ideally have familiarity with legal and other productivity technology tools. Strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships are essential. You must thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Being self-motivated, working autonomously, possessing good written and verbal communication skills, and having a keen sense of responsibility and professional standards are vital.
