The Video Editor role involves bringing brand stories to life through engaging and polished video content. You will be responsible for editing raw footage to create clear, compelling, and visually appealing videos. Collaborating with content creators, designers, and marketers is essential to understand project goals and add graphics, sound, music, transitions, and effects. Repurposing long-form content into shorter, platform-specific videos is also part of the role. File management, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, and maintaining backup systems are crucial tasks. To excel in this role, you need proven experience in video editing, proficiency in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro, and a strong portfolio. A solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics is necessary, along with familiarity in audio editing and sound design. The ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple projects, and potentially having motion graphics skills and animation experience are advantageous.
