Code Writing and Testing: Junior engineers write basic code, contribute to the development of software features, and test the code to ensure functionality. Debugging and Bug Fixing: Identifying and resolving software bugs, and working to improve the overall quality of the software. Collaboration: Working closely with senior developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional code. Learning and Skill Development: Constantly learning new programming languages and technologies, and improving their technical and collaborative skills. Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving production issues, and responding to escalated customer questions from the support team. Root Cause Analysis: Identifying the root causes of production errors to prevent future issues. Automation: Developing software to automate operational needs and improve efficiency. Required Skills: Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, etc.). Coding Fundamentals: Understanding of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles. Testing and Debugging: Knowledge of testing methodologies and debugging techniques. Communication and Collaboration: Ability to communicate effectively with developers and other stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Continuous Learning: A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is often a minimum requirement.
