Job Title: Junior Captain Location: The Walk, Hiranandani Estate, Thane (w) Department: Food and Beverage Reports To: Restaurant Manager Salary: Rs. 17000 - Rs. 20000 Job Summary The Junior Captain at Block 108 assists in overseeing the dining room operations, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service. This role involves supporting the Senior Captain and Restaurant Manager, managing waitstaff, and ensuring smooth dining experiences for patrons. The Junior Captain also helps in training and mentoring staff, maintaining service standards, and addressing guest needs. Key Responsibilities Guest Service Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous service and have a positive dining experience. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests efficiently. Monitor dining room activities to ensure high service standards. Staff Support Assist in supervising and coordinating waitstaff and bus staff. Provide training and guidance to new staff members. Support staff during busy shifts to maintain service quality. Service Quality Control Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of tables before service. Monitor the serving process to maintain food quality and service standards. Make sure staff are adhering to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). * Operational Assistance Aid in managing reservations and seating arrangements. Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely food delivery. Assist in the setup and cleanliness of the dining area before, during, and after service. Upselling & product knowledge Promote daily specials, beverages, or desserts to increase sales. Have thorough knowledge of the menu to answer guest queries confidently. * Quality Control Monitor the quality of food and beverage service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Report any issues or concerns to the Senior Captain or Restaurant Manager. Administrative Duties Help maintain records of staff performance and guest feedback. Assist in preparing reports on service quality and guest satisfaction. Support inventory management and ordering of dining room supplies. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards. Basic proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
