Job Description

The position involves conducting a comprehensive computational study on all-inorganic perovskites and double perovskites for their potential application in optoelectronic devices. This role is based in the School of Natural Sciences (SNS) within the Department of Physics on a contract basis until July 19, 2025. Key responsibilities include studying the structural, mechanical, electronic, optical, and transport properties of perovskites using density functional theory and many-body density functional perturbation theory. Candidates must hold a B.S. 4 years program/B. Pharm./M.B.B.S./Integrated B.S.-M.S./M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks and must have passed the NET-LS/GATE test. The maximum age limit for applicants is 28 years, with relaxation up to 5 years for candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates. The fellowship for this position is Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000/- in the 1st & 2nd years and Rs. 35,000/- in the 3rd year upon upgradation.
