As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and designing relevant code based on project requirements. Your role will also involve mentoring junior developers, creating a test-driven environment for projects, and occasionally traveling to customer locations globally. It is essential to have the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality products. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 4-6 years in the industry. Proficiency in Java and JEE stack (e.g., JDBC, JMX, JPA, JMS), Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, Groovy, and Core Java extensions is required. Experience with App Servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss, and REST APIs, as well as RDBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MySQL, is essential. You should possess excellent Object-Oriented Java programming skills with experience in Groovy development. Familiarity with terminal operating system (port logistics) applications is a plus. The ability to quickly understand, debug existing code, and create interfaces to integrate with various software applications is crucial. Experience in interacting with customers for scope creation and requirement definition is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for this role.
