You are a skilled and motivated Java Developer with over 4 years of experience, seeking an opportunity at Wits Innovation Lab. You have strong hands-on experience in Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture. Your expertise lies in backend development, RESTful API design, and database management. Any prior experience in the banking domain and a willingness to travel would be a valuable addition to your profile. Your responsibilities will include developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Designing a scalable and robust microservices architecture will be a key aspect of your role. Working with SQL databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance are crucial tasks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams for requirements gathering, development, and deployment is essential. You are expected to maintain code quality through Git/version control practices and troubleshoot issues across different environments. Keeping yourself updated with emerging trends and technologies in backend development is also part of your role. Your required skills include a strong knowledge of Core Java and OOPs principles, hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework, expertise in building and consuming REST APIs, a good understanding of SQL and Database Management, familiarity with Git and version control systems, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Any experience in the banking domain is considered a plus, and your willingness to travel is appreciated. It would be nice to have exposure to containerization tools like Docker, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
