Job Description
As a member of the property management staff, you will contribute advanced knowledge and skills in technology and general hospitality business to support the property and technology Information Resources objectives. Your responsibilities will include technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance, and you may interface with vendors, owners, Executive Committee, and property staff. You should have a BS/BA or equivalent work experience, along with 2-4 years of experience in a similar position. Previous experience in IR Global Field Services or Marriott Systems Support is desirable, and system-related professional certifications are also desired. Your core work activities will involve ensuring that client technology needs are met by using computers and systems for programming, software writing, data entry, and information processing. You will monitor and manage the acquisition and maintenance of property-based systems, analyze information to identify problems and propose solutions, inspect and repair equipment, and ensure the proper functioning of computer and network operations at the property. Managing projects and policies will be part of your responsibilities, where you will enforce IR policies and standards, direct equipment and software inventory maintenance, and develop goals and plans to prioritize and organize your work. You will also maintain information systems and technology goals by assessing needs, ensuring compliance with standards, and managing on-site monitoring of all projects. Additionally, you will demonstrate and apply Information Resources knowledge by staying up-to-date technically, providing technical expertise and support, and keeping all stakeholders informed. You will also coordinate property efforts, manage vendors for property IT requirements, and serve as an escalation point for problem resolution.
