Job Description
As an International Purchase Executive/Manager for our electric two-wheeler (EV) manufacturing unit, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing overseas procurement operations. Your main tasks will include sourcing and procuring EV parts and components from international suppliers, identifying and evaluating new vendors across key regions, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, maintaining vendor relationships, and working closely with R&D and production teams to meet technical and volume requirements. You will also be required to monitor international market trends, currency rates, and freight costs, maintain accurate purchase records and reports using ERP systems, and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for smooth inward of imported materials. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, International Business, or a related field (MBA preferred) with at least 2-6 years of experience in international procurement or sourcing, preferably in the EV or automotive sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of import documentation, INCOTERMS, LC, and global trade laws, excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and procurement software (ERP/SAP), and the ability to handle multiple vendors and projects under tight deadlines. Experience in sourcing EV components internationally, knowledge of EV industry standards and certifications, and fluency in English (knowledge of Mandarin or any foreign language is a plus) are preferred. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Kolkata with a requirement for international travel. The salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and knowledge.
