Key Responsibilities: Evaluating Internal Controls: Skills and Qualifications: Attention to Detail: Being able to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and potential risks in the organization's systems. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT infrastructure, software applications, and systems used by the organization. Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), ISO 27001, and GDPR. Audit Tools: Proficiency in audit software tools and systems. Problem-Solving: Ability to develop practical solutions for improving internal systems. Auditing systems and processes to ensure that internal controls are adequate to prevent fraud, mismanagement, and errors. Compliance Checks: Verifying that the company adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., financial regulations, data protection laws, etc.). Risk Management: Identifying potential risks related to internal systems and suggesting improvements or mitigation strategies. Testing IT Systems: Assessing the performance, security, and integrity of IT systems, networks, and applications. This may involve reviewing data backups, user access rights, and cybersecurity measures. Reporting Findings: Preparing detailed audit reports that outline audit results, issues found, and recommendations for improvement. Monitoring Policies and Procedures: Ensuring that all internal systems are working as intended by reviewing documentation, policies, and procedures.
