Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for both Full-Time Optometrists and Optometrist Interns to join our team in Ghaziabad and Noida. Full-Time Optometrists will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, diagnosing and treating vision issues, and assisting patients in selecting the right eyewear. Optometrist Interns will assist in providing vision care under the supervision of licensed optometrists, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field. Both roles offer the opportunity to work in a professional environment with room for learning and growth. Key Responsibilities: For Full-Time Optometrists: Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including testing for vision acuity, refractive errors, and eye diseases. Diagnose common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction treatments. Provide treatment and management for eye diseases and conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. Educate patients on proper eye care, vision correction, and preventative measures. Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans. Stay updated with the latest optometric practices, technologies, and treatments. Supervise and mentor Optometrist Interns. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Handle administrative duties such as maintaining patient files, scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies. For Optometrist Interns: Assist licensed optometrists in conducting eye exams and vision tests. Help diagnose common vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Perform preliminary eye exams, including measuring visual acuity, assessing pupil reactions, and taking patient history. Learn to use diagnostic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, and ophthalmoscopes. Assist in fitting, dispensing, and adjusting corrective eyewear, including glasses and contact lenses. Educate patients on eye health, vision correction options, and aftercare. Help manage patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate. Observe and learn optometric procedures like contact lens fitting and vision therapy. Participate in training and educational sessions to expand optometric knowledge. Ensure high standards of patient care and safety. Qualifications & Skills: For Full-Time Optometrists: Bachelors or Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid optometry license. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proficient in using optometric equipment and technology. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. For Optometrist Interns: Currently enrolled in an Optometry program or related field. Strong interest in pursuing a career in optometry. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and a proactive learning attitude. Ability to work well in a team and a fast-paced environment.
