Job Description
As an Interior Designing Project Estimator, your primary responsibility will include preparing Bill of Quantities (BoQ), estimation, and billing for the implementation of Interior Design projects. You will be tasked with developing cost estimates based on detailed BoQ to ensure adherence to project budgets. Additionally, you will identify potential issues related to materials or design that may impact costs or construction timelines. Your role will involve estimating the resources required and actively participating to achieve project objectives. You will be responsible for conducting on-site bill measurements, preparing bills, approving site measurement sheets, and coordinating with the respective teams and associates. Furthermore, you will be expected to provide estimates for various aspects such as carpentry, civil work, and materials from vendors and contractors. In this position, it will be essential to conduct material inspections, analyze costs, maintain vendor details, and collaborate with the accounts manager. You will also be involved in checking subcontractor bills, preparing site progress reports, and establishing strong relationships with both direct and indirect vendors. To optimize costs, you will need to manage day-to-day purchases, follow up on deliveries, and handle billing procedures efficiently. Market surveys for new products, special items, and obtaining reviews and reports will also be part of your responsibilities. It is crucial to have a good understanding of the interior market and be proficient in AutoCAD and Excel. Other requirements for this role include proficiency in mathematics and calculations, analytical thinking skills, and knowledge of interiors, engineering science, and technology. Persistence, determination, the ability to accept criticism, and working well under pressure are also key attributes sought in candidates. Ideally, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar field within the interior industry. A background in negotiation, conflict management, client and vendor costing, along with a degree in Interior Design or Architecture would be preferred qualifications. Your work hours will be from 10 am to 7 pm, Monday to Saturday. The job type is full-time and the schedule is during the day shift. Performance bonuses may be applicable based on your achievements. In summary, as an Interior Designing Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate estimations, effective project execution, and successful billing processes within the interior design domain. Your ability to collaborate with team members, communicate effectively, and represent the company professionally will be essential for this role.,
