Job Description

As a Systems/Information Technology professional at Cummins Inc., you will play a crucial role in defining, exploring, and supporting the implementation of enablers to evolve solution intent. Working directly with Product teams, you will guide enablers through planning and enablement, ensuring fitness for purpose in collaboration with customers and suppliers. Advocating for and steering the development and improvement of the Continuous Integration Delivery Pipeline and DevOps will be essential to enable Release on Demand effectively. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, and establishing solution deployment requirements. You will create and manage roles and responsibilities across systems/environments, understanding business problems and solutions designed, and challenging them to enhance optimized systems interactions considering NFRs baselines. Active participation in planning, high-level design of solutions, and exploration of alternatives will be key aspects of your role. Collaborating with Product Owners to determine capacity allocation for enablement work, overseeing, fostering, and measuring built-in quality, team, and technical agility will be part of your daily activities. Providing technical analysis of potential solutions, evaluating technical fit, viability, and scalability, and enhancing efficiency in build and deployment processes through automation will be crucial for success in this role. You will design and maintain infrastructure, interfaces, extensions, and workflows to meet security, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements. Additionally, maintaining strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices will be a key focus area. Supporting solution architects and software engineers in new automation areas, leading automation platform upgrades, and upgrade testing for major applications like ERP, Salesforce, and SAP will also be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, monitoring, repairing, and upgrading servers and applications, performing cost analysis and reduction, and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks will be essential aspects of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a college, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a relevant field. Preferred certifications in Google, AWS, Azure, Oracle, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, CompTIA, and UiPath Infrastructure Engineer are desirable. Your skills in architecting/designing and provisioning automation platforms and infrastructure to meet business needs, expertise in automation technologies, particularly UiPath, and experience with virtualization technologies and various operating systems will be crucial for success. Additionally, proficiency in programming languages such as VB.NET or Python, cloud orchestration, and data extraction via OCR services will be beneficial. With a minimum of 8+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a platform/infrastructure/systems lead or specialist role, you will bring valuable expertise to the team. Hands-on experience as an IT Architect is preferred, along with knowledge of modern development and deployment practices, DevSecOps tooling, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The role is Hybrid and located at the IOCA Pune office, requiring working in different shifts to support operations and collaborating with cross-functional and technical teams to ensure platform performance and reliability.
