Job Description
- As an Instrumentation Technician, your role is to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems used in various industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, or utilities
- You will be responsible for ensuring accurate measurements and efficient operation of equipment
- Here are the key responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the position of an Instrumentation Technician:Instrumentation Installation: Install, set up, and commission various types of instruments and control systems, including sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and control valves
- Ensure proper wiring and connections, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Calibration and Testing: Calibrate instruments and control systems to ensure accurate and reliable measurements
- Perform routine testing, troubleshooting, and adjustment of instruments to maintain optimal performance
- Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct preventive maintenance on instruments and control systems according to established schedules
- Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in instrumentation and control equipment
- Replace defective components or parts as needed
