Job Description

Candidate must possess instrumentation & control design and engineering experience of at least 3 to 4 complete project life cycles in EPC/EPCM for green field, brown field, and revamp projects. The individual should have a deep understanding of all aspects of complex refinery projects, including strong familiarity with drawings, documents, specifications, and data sheets required for typical refinery and fertilizer projects. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing cost-effective and value-added suggestions to enhance revamp brown field multi-discipline projects. The ideal candidate should have exposure to FEED, Basic Design Package, Detail Engineering, and pre-bid activities of projects. They must possess strong technical skills and knowledge of good engineering practices in instrumentation, control systems, and digitalization/automation in refineries, fertilizers, petrochemical, and oil & gas plants. Responsibilities include leading instrumentation, control, and automation engineering activities and deliverables for projects, ensuring timely completion to the required quality standards. The candidate will be responsible for executing technical work for FEED/DD within designated Cost Time & Resource (CTR) scopes and developing concept and feasibility studies for new and existing facilities. The individual will conduct all instrumentation engineering activities for green and brown field projects, from initial concept definition through engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and assistance in construction and commissioning. Experience in reviewing and designing field instrumentation such as control valves, flowmeters, transmitters, specialized instrumentation, and analyzers is required. Design experience for DCS/ESD/F&G systems is preferable. Other responsibilities include preparing various instrument datasheets, material requisitions, sizing control valves/flowmeters, bid tabulations, vendor drawing reviews, preparing instrument layouts, hook-ups, logic diagrams, etc. The candidate should have knowledge of local statutory compliance related to process plants, plant safety, and industry codes and standards. The individual should be able to prepare requisitions, handle project databases, prepare technical queries on vendor offers and TBT, and conduct vendor drawing reviews for instruments. Strong understanding of inputs and interface with various disciplines like mechanical, rotating machines, process, piping, electrical, civil & structure, SCM, planning, and project management is essential. Proficiency in project automation databases (e.g., Smart Plant), piping & instrument drawings (P&IDs), and expertise in using digital platforms like 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Microstation, Smart PLANT, PDS, AutoPLANT, and other project-specific software tools is preferred.,
