As an Infrastructure Technology Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions using Azure to support scientific research projects. Your expertise in Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL, and MS SQL Server will be crucial in optimizing database performance and managing data storage solutions. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cheminformatics and bioinformatics data into existing systems and ensure the reliability and security of our infrastructure. Your role will also involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and minimizing downtime to enhance efficiency. Developing and maintaining documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures, implementing best practices for data management and storage, and conducting regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations are key responsibilities. You will support the deployment of new technologies and tools to enhance research capabilities, collaborate with researchers to understand their infrastructure needs, and provide tailored solutions. To excel in this role, you should demonstrate proficiency in Azure, Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL, and MS SQL Server, along with strong domain knowledge in cheminformatics and bioinformatics. Your problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, communication, and collaboration skills are essential. Experience in managing and optimizing large-scale databases, a proactive approach to infrastructure management, and the ability to lead initiatives to improve infrastructure scalability and performance will be advantageous. Additionally, providing training and support to team members on infrastructure-related topics will be part of your responsibilities.,
