Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in electrical codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, etc. You will also be expected to have a working knowledge of SKM Systems Analysis or Electrical Power Systems Analysis (ETAP) system modelling software. Your role will involve performing a variety of studies including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies. Furthermore, you will be tasked with conducting coordination studies of protective devices, recommending protective device settings for coordination, and developing native relay setting files using device (vendor) software. It will be essential for you to recommend new protection settings for MV and LV equipment and have a clear understanding of major equipment damage curves and protective device curves on Time-Current Curve (TCC) graphs. In addition, you will be expected to perform engineering calculations such as voltage drop, CT saturation, cable sizing, and battery sizing. An ability to interpret electrical drawings, protection schemes within industrial facilities, and experience with US projects will be advantageous for this role. You will also play a key role in ensuring the quality of electrical documentation associated with projects. To qualify for this position, you must hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and have a minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical systems studies in the electric utility or industrial facilities. A master's degree in electrical engineering can be substituted for 1 year of experience. Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam are also required.
