Job Description
Oversee and manage the importation process for goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Prepare and review all necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations). Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure smooth clearance and compliance with relevant import laws and regulations. Track and monitor shipments from international suppliers to ensure timely arrival. Manage the procurement process for materials, supplies, and equipment in alignment with the company's needs and budget. Place orders and ensure proper inventory levels are maintained. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, sales, and logistics) to forecast demand and ensure the timely availability of materials. Track and monitor orders, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any issues such as delays or discrepancies. Evaluate supplier performance regularly, assessing factors like delivery times, quality of products, and overall customer service. Provide feedback to suppliers to improve service or resolve issues.
