Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled HVAC Draughtsman with expertise in AutoCAD to join our team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in designing, planning, and preparing detailed HVAC drawings as per project requirements. This role requires experience in heat load calculations, equipment selection, BOQ preparation, and system layout planning. Key Responsibilities:1. HVAC Design & Drafting: Develop detailed HVAC drawings for projects, including ductwork layouts, piping layouts, ventilation systems, and air distribution plans using AutoCAD. Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings as per project requirements. Ensure that HVAC drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications. Work on chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems, DX systems, and ventilation designs. 2. Heat Load Calculation & System Planning: Perform heat load calculations to determine the required capacity of HVAC systems. Assist in duct sizing, pipe sizing, and airflow balancing based on the project needs. Plan and design chiller, AHU, FCU, and exhaust system layouts for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. 3. Equipment Selection & BOQ Preparation: Select appropriate HVAC equipment (chillers, compressors, cooling towers, air handling units, etc.) based on project load requirements. Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for HVAC systems. Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure the selection of the best-fit HVAC equipment. 4. Compliance & Coordination: Ensure HVAC designs comply with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, and other industry standards. Work in coordination with MEP teams, architects, and structural engineers to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the accuracy of designs and installation. 5. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and reports. Assist in the preparation of tender documents, technical submittals, and project reports. Review HVAC designs for cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency, and performance optimization. Skills & Qualifications Required: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Design, or equivalent. 3 7 years of experience in HVAC drafting and designing. Expert in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for HVAC drawings. Knowledge of HVAC software such as HAP, Revit MEP, and Duct Sizer is an added advantage. Strong understanding of heat load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and ventilation systems. Familiarity with HVAC design codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, etc.). Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with multiple stakeholders. Preferred Skills (Good to Have): Experience in Revit MEP and BIM coordination.
