Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function at our steel manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for manpower planning, end-to-end recruitment, industrial relations, statutory compliance, and fostering a safe and efficient work culture aligned with company policies and legal frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage plant-level HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning. Ensure adherence to all labor laws and statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Factory Act, etc. Handle industrial relations, including managing unions, grievance redressal, and disciplinary actions. Conduct training and development programs to enhance workforce skill sets. Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives across departments. Maintain updated employee records, HR MIS, and reports for audits and management review. Monitor workplace safety, coordinate with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) teams, and support ISO compliance if applicable. Act as the liaison between management and workers to ensure smooth HR functioning. Ensure smooth functioning of performance management systems and coordinate appraisals. Requirements: MBA/PGDM in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification. 510 years of experience in HR management within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry. In-depth knowledge of industrial laws, HR policies, and manufacturing HR operations. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to manage both white-collar and blue-collar workforce. Preferred Skills: Experience in union negotiations and handling labor disputes. Working knowledge of safety, CSR, and sustainability practices in manufacturing. Fluency in local/regional language and English. Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle for HR.
