As an HP Service Manager 9.x Application Support specialist, your primary responsibilities will include monitoring alerts, analyzing logs, debugging issues, and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA). It is essential for you to comprehend the workflow, architecture, and functions of the application, as well as follow the instructions and replication steps provided by the L1 team. Your expertise in ITIL processes, specifically Incident, Change, and Problem Management, will be crucial in this role. Having experience as an administrator in HP Service Manager 9.x version is mandatory, as you will be responsible for ensuring compliance activities are performed accurately. You should possess the ability to design solutions that align with both project specifications and company standards. Creating RCAs and supporting continuous improvement initiatives by exploring new technologies are also part of your duties. Adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is a key aspect of this position, and you are expected to excel as a team player while taking ownership of assigned tickets. Providing L2 support for escalated issues from the L1 team is another significant part of your role. Additionally, proficiency in Unix, SQL, and Java will be beneficial for effectively resolving technical challenges.,
