Job Description

As a Hospital Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the hospital setting. Your primary duties will include assessing patients" health issues, creating and executing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals is essential to ensure that patients receive high-quality care and comfort. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of patient care. This involves conducting physical examinations, administering medications and personalized interventions, and making critical decisions based on patient information. Additionally, you will coordinate care with a diverse team of healthcare professionals and oversee the care provided by other personnel like LPNs and nursing aides. Monitoring and reporting are crucial components of your role. You will be expected to observe, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients" conditions accurately. Maintaining detailed reports, recording medical information and vital signs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to evaluate patient care plans are vital tasks. Patient education and support are integral parts of your responsibilities. You will educate patients and their families on health conditions, post-treatment care needs, diet, and exercise. Furthermore, providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families is essential. Your clinical skills will be put to use through operating and monitoring medical equipment, conducting diagnostic tests, and performing procedures such as IV placement, phlebotomy, and administering oxygen. Compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, adherence to hospital policies for infection control and safety, and ensuring a clean working environment are paramount. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment are essential. The physical demands of this position include the ability to lift and move patients, prolonged periods of standing and walking, and manual dexterity for operating machinery and equipment. You should be prepared to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.
