HOD Computer Science

Position: Professor Computer Science and Information Science
Reporting To: Administrator / Dean Academics
Key Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Information
Science.
Guide B.E./M.Tech/Ph.D. research scholars and supervise student projects.
Develop curriculum, course materials, and assessment methods aligned with industry
standards and accreditation norms (AICTE/NAAC/NBA).
Conduct original research, publish in reputed journals (SCI/Scopus), and present at
conferences.
Secure research funding from government/industry bodies and lead funded projects.
Collaborate with industry partners for internships, placements, and joint research
initiatives.
Mentor junior faculty and actively contribute to departmental development.
Participate in academic administration, examination duties, and university
committees.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
First-class (or equivalent) in M.Tech and B.E./B.Tech.
Experience of 15 years preferable Minimum 8 years of post PG
teaching/research/industry experience, with at least 5 years at the level of Associate
Professor or equivalent.

Skills and Competencies:
Deep expertise in core CS/IS domains (e.g., AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity,
Cloud Computing, IoT).
Strong research and publication record.
Effective communication and classroom engagement.
Familiarity with outcome-based education and accreditation frameworks.
Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
