Location: Mumbai, India Experience: 5-10 years in Ocean Freight Procurement or Freight Forwarding Industry: Shipping, Freight Forwarding & Logistics We are currently seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive procurement activities for the North American market. This role will be based in Mumbai, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in working directly with ocean carriers to finalize rates, ensure space allocation, and optimize freight procurement strategies for the USA market. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market. Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and suppliers to ensure the best prices and terms for the company. Manage and develop strong relationships with carriers ensure the highest level of service delivery including space protection during peak and non-peak season Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks for the company. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of pricing and procurement, professionals to achieve departmental objectives and support the company's growth strategy. Deliver comprehensive bid proposals for customers long-term projects and gaining client approval on costs. Carefully monitoring market trends to ascertain best pricing for company's products. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies, negotiating rates and contracts, and managing the procurement process. Extensive knowledge of carrier and supplier networks and market trends in the logistics industry. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals.,
