Job Description

  • Develops and implements legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws
  • Identifies and manages legal risks, and develops strategies to mitigate potential liabilities
  • Provides legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, employment law, intellectual property and corporate governance.
  • Manages litigation issues and represents the company in legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required
  • Provides advise in structuring, negotiating, and handling corporate actions, such as merger & acquisitions, join ventures, and strategic alliances.
  • Stays up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations that will impact the organisation.
  • Completes corporate secretarial responsibilities, such as the Board Meetings, Annual General Meetings, and others, including the preparation of notices, agendas, and minutes
  • Work closely with the compliance and internal audit team in analysing and implementing relevant laws and regulations by providing updated agreements, company regulations, etc
  • Master’s degree in Law from a reputable university
  • 10+ years of combined experience as a lawyer in a law firm and a legal counsel in the financial industry
  • Have a solid understanding of regulations in the financial industry (Bank Indonesia, OJK) and its implementation in the business, in one or more financial product domains
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and agile work environment
  • Have a strong work ethic and require minimal direction
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent, research, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work well within the legal team and internal/external stakeholders
