Job Description

A. Job Objective :-
• Head the Learning & Development and Talent management Centre of excellence for the entire Lithium.
• Run the existing programs in place at Lithium along with the design and implementation of newer initiatives as per the organization need
• Ensure balance between consistency of employee experience across the group and the customization for interventions to suit the business needs
• Establish best in class TM and L&D practices within Lithium to create an organization and a talent pool which is geared to achieve the business targets
B. Primary responsibilities
Strategic and planning
• Conceptualize projects and programs within the TM and L&D area of expertise  based on an understanding of the future direction established for Lithium and the related business imperatives
• Partner with key stakeholders to understand their strategic direction and analyses its implications on the specific areas of expertise
• Contribute to the development of the company’s HR strategy in order to ensure that initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic and business goals
• Implement best practices, industry trends and balance both internal and external perspectives (best practices, benchmarks, industry trends etc.) while developing solutions/ designing new initiatives within the area of expertise
• Create policies and establish processes for global implementation and roll out of the programs

Description

• Create budget for L&D and TM intervention along with the long term plan for engagement with vendor and consultants for implementing the initiatives Functional Talent Management
• Existing Scope: Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, Cadre building process
• Design of career and succession management framework and policies for Lithium.
• Oversee the development, and implementation of succession planning practices, talent management and development programmes across the company to enable it to fully utilise the potential of its people and meet future and changing business
needs.
• Lead multiple projects/initiatives within own area of expertise, driving both, corporate agenda as well as providing customized solutions to individual businesses
• Design success measures (covering both tangible and intangibles) for initiatives/projects and monitors the same
• Manage initiatives such as career and succession management framework, promotion & development center across levels, HiPo identification across businesses, career movements, developing successor pool. Create and manage Talent council.
• Evaluate external consultants for co-partnering on key initiatives related to the area of expertise Organization Development
• Design and deliver OD and change management strategies, processes and interventions that support the company’s ambition to be a high performing organization.
• Design of structure options and obtain sign off with the business leadership team
• Review and implement activities and projects such as Manpower planning, Strategy alignment, Organization Structure Design, managing organization and positions, etc.
• Advise businesses on key Organization development projects (such as large scale process, operating model changes, readiness for change, manpower optimization, acquisitions)
• Define the governance on structure implementation, manpower planning, people effectiveness projects
• Review and conduct periodic audits of the organization structure across businesses, create playbook on Organization design for Lithium (guidelines for businesses to make changes)

Description

• Manage group level, process change related and business led projects for cultural and mindset change (includes identification of vendors, change management, capability building etc.)
• Manage all activities around institutionalization of Organization Values reinforcement, governance, complaint management etc.
• Review and advice on cultural implications of engagement outcomes
• Identify and align the culture and mind set with organization expectations from Culture
• Governance on structure implementation, manpower planning, people effectiveness projects, approval of any deviation from signed off design,
• To support with change management for implementation of initiative to ensure effective communication and consultation processes and to build staff engagement.
• Anticipate organizational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist in developing project proposals and plans based on customer requirements. Learning & Development
• Prepare policy, plan and budget aligned to learning and development for Lithium.
• Collate the learning needs for all the businesses and create a learning investment plan and calendar for Lithium.
• Oversee the development and delivery of strategic leadership development programmes for all leaders, aligned to the strategic objectives of the company.
• Lead the development and delivery of coaching and mentoring capability within the company and championing the benefits of coaching, mentoring and sponsorship
• Enable and ensure the development of interventions focussed on improving line manager competence and capability. Lead the effective implementation and measurement of management capability and reporting.
• Oversee the development and innovation related to all aspects of the company's competency and behavioural frameworks.
• Lead the development of the company's development strategy to ensure staff engagement through career and personal development.
• Ensure the provision on creative, innovative and agile learning interventions that meet the changing cultural and social needs of the business. Internal Functions
• Engage with and build alignment with key senior business stakeholders on critical initiatives, providing informed advice from both an internal and external perspective

Description :-

• With interaction with internal stakeholders, facilitate the customization of programs and initiatives to create the desired impact
• Resolve and address any key conflicts that may arise with different stakeholders during the implementation of key initiatives related to the area of expertise People development
• To commission and manage resources as and when required in order to ensure cost-effective delivery of initiatives.
• Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in- house capabilities for the employees in the department
• Drive initiatives to create a performance driven culture in the organization
• Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
