Job Summary The Head of IT - Manufacturing is responsible for leading the IT strategy, execution, and operations within the manufacturing domain. This role involves managing technology projects, developing in-house skillsets, and overseeing vendor relationships to ensure the efficient and effective use of technology in manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Strategy: Provide leadership in technology strategy, execution, and operations. Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives. Project Management: Manage a portfolio of technology projects to meet cost, scope, and schedule constraints. Ensure successful delivery of IT projects. Process Improvement: Drive process efficiency in manufacturing operations by recommending and implementing viable technologies. Team Development: Identify key skills and talent gaps, recruit, train, and retain IT talent. Provide career and development planning for the IT team. Vendor Management: Identify and manage external vendors for the delivery of contracted work. Negotiate services and contracts with third-party providers. System Management: Oversee the selection, enhancement, and maintenance of manufacturing systems. Ensure system and data security and reliability. Innovation: Champion innovation in manufacturing processes through the adoption of new technologies. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Extensive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects. Skills: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships. Industry-Specific Responsibilities Manufacturing Systems: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, and SCM etc. Proven experience of Building Smart Factories (Industry 4.0). Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing IT systems.,
