Job Description: Responsibilities : Analyze and review product requirements from the product marketing and architecture team, resolve queries, sign off the requirements, and complete design documents in discussion with all stakeholders. Review design documents with Software, Architecture, and test teams and promptly address queries. Design, Develop, and sustain electronic control boards utilizing embedded microprocessors with analog and digital circuitry for Residential, Commercial, and Refrigeration HVAC equipment. Develop specifications, rules, and best practices for verification and validation of hardware systems Test the electronic controls to verify they comply with the stringent quality and reliability requirements of Lennox Industries Prepare a reliability test plan in discussion with the reliability team and coordinate the testing. Address any issues through design updates and retesting. Perform root cause analysis and implement design changes to ensure product integrity. Interact with Mechanical design engineer for enclosure design, DFMEA, FEA, fitment analysis, tolerance analysis, etc. Interact with suppliers to find the best components for the application while containing component costs. Prepare bill of materials, Gerber files, and all required drawings for the Contract manufacturer to manufacture the product. Serve as the project engineer for the new product design to deliver the desired product on time while communicating with the other departments within the Lennox organization. Communicate project results to the Controls Team leadership staff and program management office. Qualifications: Qualification A Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering is required, with 3 to 7 years of experience in the design of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuitry and embedded microprocessors using through-hole and surface mount technologies Experience in converting high-level marketing requirements into design requirements and preparing detailed design documents. Experience in utilizing schematic capture and PCB layout software to document your design Experience with circuit simulation and PADs PC board layout software Capable of performing general soldering; operation of scopes, meters, and general lab equipment Proficient in speaking and writing in English Can think creatively with the ability to develop and implement new processes and procedures Must have demonstrated the capability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time Need excellent collaboration and teaming skills Experience in the HVAC or appliance industries is a plus Experience in the design of refrigeration controls is a plus Experience building electronic devices with contract manufacturers is a plus Experience with high-speed signal integrity checking is a plus. Experience with environmental and transient condition testing of the electronic controls is a plus Experience in the motor control/inverter drive design is a plus.,
