Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Feasibility Analysis Review technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to evaluate design intent and manufacturability. Assess whether the part design aligns with available production capabilities, materials, and processes. Cost Estimation & Quotation Preparation Analyse Bill of Materials (BOM), raw material requirements, and process steps to estimate production costs. Evaluate supplier quotes for materials, outsourced processes, and tooling requirements. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, machining, assembly, quality checks, and overheads. Work closely with procurement and finance teams to optimize cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality. Process Selection & Manufacturing Strategy Determine the most suitable manufacturing processes based on technical and economic feasibility. Evaluate tooling, fixtures, and special process requirements for efficient production. Assess lead times and capacity planning to ensure on-time delivery commitments.
