As a General Manager of Procurement in the Agri sector, you will be responsible for developing a long-term strategy for each origin based on supply & demand analysis, global trade flow analysis, and market insights. Your role includes shortlisting areas for ICS formation, developing partners, and leading farmers to support operations. Additionally, you will build a differentiated sustainability strategy based on customer needs, create supply chain infrastructure, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives. You will be required to develop deep industry relationships, manage supplier relationships, and enhance procurement operations through process improvements and inventory management. Identifying and implementing digital tools for traceability and sustainability will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in team development by building agile and responsive capabilities within the team. The ideal candidate for this role should possess good communication skills, be able to lead cross-functional teams, have experience in building agricultural supply chains, and a strong understanding of the agribusiness sector. Additionally, strong networking skills, analytical skills, and digital proficiency are essential. The candidate should also be a quick learner, team player, and have a presentable personality. Qualifications include an MBA in Agribusiness Management from Tier 1/Tier 2 B-schools, preferably with a B Sc in Agriculture from a reputed university. A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in FMCG/Food Processing/Export industries, specifically in Agricultural Supply Chain, is required. The location for this position is Mumbai.,
