Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager - Product Engineering located in Pune (Pimpri). The position shall oversee the product engineering department which comprises of 3 primary responsibilities. First is execution support to manufacturing & second is engineering review of new designs received from R&D and to make such designs ready for manufacturing. No basic mechanical design responsibilities are involved in this profile. Third responsibility is about data & logic support to IT team for continuous improvement of the proposal & selection software. Manufacturing execution support shall entail review & checking of: Bill of Materials (BoM) based on customer requirements Manufacturing drawings for all components with the quality plan as given by the customer Engineering change management & master data updation Engineering review of new designs & models shall entail: Once new design or model or product size is received from R&D, the engineering aspects from manufacturing & documentation perspective need to be reviewed and developed including O&M manuals. Performance review after the new design is manufactured & incorporating the changes needed in the master data as needed Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (BE / BTech) Minimum 12 to 15 years experience in product engineering field Expertise in engineering drawings review, BoM generation and quality plans In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks & Product Lifecycle Management software (PLM) Strong leadership and communication skills with good general organisational compatibility Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of ISO standards Experience in centrifugal pumps is a plus but not necessary,
