Job Description
Role Summary: Design the GCP architecture (knowledge on GCP Components) for hosting applications based on customer needs. Setup, deploy and manage Infrastructure, application and Databases on GCP Handling the customer Cloud environment (Infrastructure, application and Databases) on GCP Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize the performance using solutions like database indexes, Varnish, Memcache, Redis,CloudFront etc. - Implement auto-scaling (Node & pod Autoscaling)- Automate deployments (CI&CD) & other repetitive tasks using scripts or tools like Jenkins etc. Configure centralized configuration management using tools like Chef/OpsWorks, Puppet, Ansible etc Experience of containerization (Docker) & Orchestration on Container (kubernetes, Openswam etc) Drive Solution Response to RFPs for Cloud or Container Based Platform with Orchestration and Automation Frameworks Familiar with Cloud concepts such as Virtualization, Containers, Container Orchestration, Kubernetes, Docker and OpenStack Cloud Networking, HTTP(S), TCP/IP and other relevant Internet protocols Application and solution development using Linux Containers, Docker, etc. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Virtualisation, Containers, Container Orchestration, Kubernetes (GKE), Docker and OpenStack Networking, HTTP(S), TCP/IP and other relevant Internet protocols Manage permissions, backup and performance across different databases like MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres etc Manage teams across multiple projects. Understand client requirements, propose solutions and ensure delivery. Innovate and actively look for improvements in overall infrastructure. Pre-requisite Bachelor's Degree, with 6 to 9 years experience in System Administration with at least 4 to 7 years experience in GCP & Devops Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-starter and ability to deliver under tight timelines. Comfortable to contribute both as a lead as well as an individual. Desirable Qualities- Prior experience in managing infrastructure for public facing web-applications. Have experience in GCP Design & Deployment Have experience on DevOps tools like Jenkins Have experience on Kubernetes (GKE) & Anthos Prior experience in handling client communications. Knowledge of any scripting language.,
