Job Description

As a Technology Lead at BigStep Technologies, you will play a crucial role in driving our product engineering vision. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers and architecting scalable solutions using technologies such as React.js, Node.js, and Go (Golang). Your primary focus will involve making critical architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, setting coding standards, and collaborating closely with the product/CTO to ensure alignment of technology with business goals. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on by coding complex features and proof of concepts. Your key responsibilities will include defining the tech stack strategy, leading system design for scalability through microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, as well as reviewing code and enforcing best practices related to testing, security, and performance. While experience with React Native in mobile development is considered advantageous, you will also be expected to conduct technical interviews, build high-performing teams, run tech sprints and R&D initiatives, and foster an engineering culture that emphasizes knowledge sharing and innovation. In this role, you will be involved in building React.js frontends using TypeScript and Next.js, developing Node.js backend services with frameworks such as Nest.js and Express, and implementing Go components for high-throughput systems. You will also be responsible for optimizing database performance, particularly with PostgreSQL and Kafka, along with demonstrating a strong understanding of React.js and TypeScript for frontend development, proficiency in Node.js and GraphQL for backend development, and hands-on experience with AWS/GCP cloud platforms and Kubernetes orchestration. Furthermore, your ability to implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, set up CI/CD pipelines, and monitor systems with DataDog will be crucial to your success in this role.,
