Job Description
You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise should include a solid understanding and practical application of core GCP services such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cloud Operations (formerly Stackdriver) for monitoring and logging, and GCP Security best practices. Ideally, you should have demonstrated experience working as a cloud engineer within a financial institution, where you have gained an understanding of specific regulatory and security demands. Moreover, you should possess solid experience in deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Proficiency with tools commonly used with Kubernetes, such as Helm for package management and Istio for service mesh capabilities, is essential. Your extensive experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure would be crucial for this role. Familiarity with Terraform Sentinel for policy-as-code and governance would be a significant advantage. Additionally, you should have proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. A deep understanding of cloud security principles and experience in implementing security controls within a GCP environment, particularly relevant to financial services, is required. You should also have experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Your ability to work effectively within a team, communicate technical concepts clearly, and collaborate with developers and other stakeholders is essential for success in this role. A track record of identifying and resolving complex technical issues in cloud environments, especially within the constraints of a regulated financial industry, would be highly valued.,
