Frontend Engineer - React Specialist (SDE-2) - Prefer candidates who are interested to work on the Ruby Backend Location: India Remote (Accepting only candidates currently within India) About Flexcar: At Flexcar, were redefining car ownership. Role Overview: Were looking for a Frontend Engineer- React Specialist (SDE-2) with strong expertise in ReactJS and a willingness to work on the Ruby backend. In this role, youll help us build seamless, scalable, and intuitive web applications that power our customer experiences and internal tools. What Youll Do: Build high-quality, responsive web applications with ReactJS. Develop and maintain backend APIs and services in Ruby. Work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end. Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. Review code, mentor peers, and help maintain high engineering standards. Troubleshoot issues and continuously improve system performance and reliability. What Were Looking For: 68 years of hands-on software engineering experience. Strong command of ReactJS (functional components, hooks, state management). Must be prepared to ramp up on Ruby quickly and contribute code using Ruby for backend services. Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs. Experience integrating with backend services and working across the full tech stack. Experience working in fast-paced environments with quick release cycles. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Strong collaboration and communication skills. A proactive, ownership-driven mindset. Bonus Points: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL). Experience deploying and managing applications on Heroku. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
