Job Title: Formulations R&D (Pharma OSD) Head Location: Roorkee, Uttarakhand Roles & Responsibilities:1. Leadership & Strategy Lead the Formulation Research & Development (FR&D) team for Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) forms (tablets, capsules, granules, etc.). Define and implement strategic plans for new product development. Ensure alignment of R&D goals with company objectives and regulatory requirements. 2. New Product Development (NPD) Oversee development of generic and innovative formulations from pre-formulation to scale-up. Selection of excipients, compatibility studies, QbD (Quality by Design) approach. 3. Regulatory & Documentation Ensure all formulation development activities comply with regulatory guidelines (USFDA, MHRA, WHO-GMP, etc.). Review and approve development reports, technology transfer documents, and CTD/ACTD modules. 4. Technology Transfer Coordinate with Production, QA, and QC for smooth tech transfer from R&D to commercial manufacturing. Troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues during scale-up. 5. Team Management Manage and mentor a team of scientists and formulation experts. Ensure timely project delivery and foster a culture of innovation. 6. Cost and Vendor Management Optimize formulation cost without compromising quality. Work with procurement and vendors for sourcing new APIs and excipients. Educational Qualification: M.Pharm / Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics or related specialization) Experience Required: 15+ years in Formulation R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership/head role. Hands-on experience in OSD formulations for regulated and semi-regulated markets. ,
