No of years of experience: 10 to 15 Qualification : BE (Food Technologist / Food Engineering) from reputed college, preferably additional qualification as Process Authority from USFDA, HACCP certified Industry : Ready to Eat Retorted Foods, Sauces and Dressings, Spices Detailed Position Description: The Quality Specialist in the food processing industry oversees the day-to-day operations of the production floor wrt quality compliance, ensuring that food products are manufactured to the expected quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. 1. Strong Conceptual Clarity on fundamentals of food safety and quality standards. 2. Excellent Team leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 3. Must have strong shopfloor presence, interest and willingness to bring in improvements on shopfloor practices. 3. Hands on on Quality module of ERP systems. 4. Expertise in end to end quality systems including but not limited to: a) Supplier audits and development, b) Sampling procedures for quality control, c) Laboratory procedures: physical, analytical and microbiological testing and fundamentals, d) In-process shopfloor quality testing, recording and monitoring, e) Daily product sensory checks, f) Predespatch checks.
