Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable and organized Food Dispatcher to coordinate the timely delivery of food orders to customers and support smooth kitchen-to-delivery operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced food service environment. Key Responsibilities: Receive, review, and process food orders from in-house systems or third-party platforms. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and packaging of orders. Assign delivery drivers or riders based on order location and delivery zones. Monitor delivery schedules and ensure on-time dispatch and delivery of all food items. Communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or issues. Resolve any delivery or dispatch-related problems in real time. Maintain accurate records of dispatched orders, driver routes, and delivery completion. Ensure food safety and quality standards are upheld during dispatch. Collaborate with kitchen, front-of-house, and delivery staff to streamline operations. Report any incidents, delays, or feedback to the supervisor or management. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or hospitality is a plus. Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, or food service preferred. Familiarity with POS systems, delivery apps, and order management software. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes. Basic understanding of food safety and handling guidelines. Working Conditions: May require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Work is primarily in a restaurant, dispatch station, or central kitchen environment. May require prolonged periods of standing and occasional lifting of food containers.
