Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems from multiple leading brands. The candidate must have hands-on knowledge of various control panels, detectors, modules, and integration with other safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of fire alarm panels, detectors, sounders, modules, and related field devices as per design and compliance standards.
  • Commissioning of fire alarm systems, including wiring verification, loop testing, and zone configuration.
  • Programming and configuration of various fire alarm control panels (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Notifier, Bosch, GST, Morley, Edwards, etc.).
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fire alarm circuits, addressable and conventional systems.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, testing reports, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and clients during site activities and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, local fire codes, and safety regulations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on existing fire alarm systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users or junior technicians if required.

Key Requirements:

  • ITI/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or relevant technical field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the fire alarm industry with multi-brand exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
  • Experience in working with brands such as Honeywell, Notifier, Siemens, Morley, GST, Bosch, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiar with installation standards and fire safety regulations.
  • Basic understanding of networking and BMS integration (preferred).
  • Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but advantageous):

  • NFPA Certified
  • Manufacturer training certificates (Honeywell, Notifier, Siemens, etc.)
  • Fire & Safety training certification
