Job Description

As a Manager Finishing, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the finishing process for single, high-profile projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, contractors, and clients, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful delivery. Your role will involve coordinating with design, production, and construction teams to meet project objectives effectively. In terms of team management, you will supervise and mentor a team of finishing specialists and workers. Providing guidance on finishing techniques, materials, and quality standards, you will assign tasks, track progress, and ensure team members meet deadlines and quality expectations. Ensuring high-quality finishing standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle, you will conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of the finishing process, implementing corrective measures when necessary and driving continuous improvement. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the selection, procurement, and management of materials required for finishing work. This involves ensuring the correct materials are used, coordinating closely with procurement teams, and managing the efficient use of resources to minimize waste and ensure timely availability. As a problem-solver and risk manager, you will identify potential project risks, proactively resolve challenges, and prevent delays. Providing innovative solutions to technical or logistical problems, you will also ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintaining excellent client relationships is crucial in this role. You will offer regular updates on project progress, address client concerns promptly and professionally, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. In terms of documentation and reporting, you will maintain accurate records of project status, budgets, and timelines. You will prepare progress reports and present project details to senior management and clients effectively. To excel in this role, you should have a strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and equipment, exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, proficiency in project management software and tools, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of attention to detail.
