Job Description
Financial Crime Surveillance Lead to lead the Indian part of our newly established Financial Crime Surveillance Unit in our Security and Financial Crime Prevention function in Gurugram. The unit is responsible for all alert handling related to Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Trading Surveillance (MAR) as well as complex Financial Crime investigations. The unit consists of multiple smaller teams as well as subject matter experts (SMEs) which together work with specialized surveillance based in Denmark, India and Netherlands.
The unit is working closely (and is co-located) with the 24/7 Security Incident Response Team (SIRT), which handles security and fraud events. The new leader will work closely with the SIRT leadership in a virtual Fusion Centre.
You will become part of a department with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds, within disciplines of security as well as financial crime prevention. You will further be part of a strategy of integrating functions of security and financial crime prevention, with the objective of reaping benefits and synergies through close collaboration, and delivering more value in terms of protecting our clients and the bank towards external threats. Your Responsibilities will include:
• Provide leadership and direction to the Financial Crime Surveillance teams and the individual Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
• Motivate and empower the teams and SMEs
• Ensure that the unit is equipped with the capacity and capabilities needed to succeed
• Contribute to implementation of training and quality assurance initiatives
• Ensure continues improvement in operational process and teams learning from each other for achieving operational excellence
• Build and enhance the cross functional capabilities with your peers in the Security & Financial Crime Prevention department
• Collaborate with other parts of the Financial Crime Prevention function ensuring alert trending is understood and used, technology is tuned and that the alert handling is future proof (e.g. towards capacity requirements)
• Collaborate with stakeholders in e.g. KYC & Onboarding, Compliance and Audit functions on initiatives, request and items for follow-up
Your Profile :
• We are looking for a candidate with minimum 6 years of professional experience in the Financial Crime domain, including 3 years of experience from either AML or MAR alert handling
• A minimum of 3 years of people management experience, preferably both direct leadership and leadership through a leader
• Strong vision and proven record for people development and engagement
• Strong vision and proven record for development of operational excellence within the domain
• A solid understanding of the Financial Crime domain (preferably in the areas of AML, MAR and Fraud)
