Job Description
Virtual Construct is hiring a seasoned Financial Controller to manage financial operations for its U.S.-based construction clients. The role includes overseeing accounting, cash flow, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning, while collaborating with U.S. CPAs and leadership teams. Responsibilities Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping operations in line with U.S. GAAP and construction standards Develop internal controls and implement fraud prevention measures Ensure accurate revenue recognition using POC or completed contract methods Conduct monthly financial closes and allocate job costs Track and report KPIs such as job cost variance and cash flow cycles Optimize AR/AP processes and manage retention accounting Develop cash flow forecasts and support working capital management Lead ERP system implementations and enhance financial systems Provide strategic financial insights and support M&A initiatives Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management (construction industry preferred) Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and construction accounting principles Proficiency in ERP systems (Foundation ERP, QuickBooks) Experience with revenue recognition methods (POC and completed contract) Strong analytical, budgeting, and financial planning skills Experience collaborating with U.S.-based CPAs for tax compliance and audits,
