Finance and Accounting Specialist Eligibility We strongly prefer working with individuals who are passionate about aerospace and are willing to work with us for the long term. WHAT IT TAKES If you like to understand how to cost a launch vehicle - this is for you RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and understanding account information. Document financial transactions by documenting account information. Recommend financial actions by understanding accounting alternatives. Summarize financial status by gathering information; creating balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. Maintain controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. Reconcile / tally financial discrepancies by gathering and understanding account information. Answer accounting questions by researching and understanding accounting policy and regulations. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree in Finance or Economics or Accounting. Some experience in fast-paced projects (non-aerospace is okay); PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Masters Degree in Accounting or equivalent area of focus. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed. What you could take away Your work will directly impact the company's (and the rocket's) trajectory.
