Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Various outside weather conditions We are looking for a Field Application Scientist to support customers in-person at their lab, and by remote support, phone and email, serving as a trusted advisor. In doing so, we aim to increase customer satisfaction and build loyalty and chip into the overall success of the business. Deliver on-site and remote scientific application support & training support to our customers on all our BID products including, but not limited to Flow Cytometers, Optical Microscopy Platforms, Flow Sorters, Microplate Readers & Washers, Sample Preparation instruments, Protein & Nucleic Acid Detection systems & Multiplexing systems and associated reagents for the same. Perform customer facing presentations & product demonstrations at customer or in-house sites Diagnose & resolve product performance problems and customer queries/complaints Work with sales representatives on sales calls to give technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiries Assist the regional sales team in the development of accounts by giving technical seminars and presentations that promote the use of our products Maintain up-to-date technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and scientific developments in associated subjects Build trust with our customers and excel in customer service Education PhD or masters degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or associated field (PhD preferred) Experience More than 5 years wet lab experience in requested technologies Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Good knowledge on Immunology, Cell Analysis, Cell culture, Protein Analysis and the use of antibodies Experience in handling Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments such as CellInsight Platforms, EVOS Imaging systems, Varioskan, Attune etc (or similar ones from other manufacturers). Customer-facing experience, with the emotional intelligence to understand customer concerns Able to connect with and support people optimally with varying levels of technical knowledge and expertise Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team Good digital literacy and have an interest for groundbreaking technology Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%), locally as well as nationally Proficient in English and local language,
