Job Description Summary

The Fellow plays a crucial role in shaping analytical strategies and driving innovation by collaborating and making decisions on assigned projects. As an individual contributor, they act as a thought leader with extensive technical expertise in statistical methods.


Job Description

Major accountabilities:

  • The fellow influences and drives all data science collaborations with other line functions. Explains methods and results in a manner easily understood by non-analytical folks, and provide adequate justifications, sensitivity analyses for actions/decisions/statements, when required.
  • Understands complex and critical business problems from a variety of stakeholders and business functions, formulate integrated analytical approach to mine data sources, employ statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to discover actionable insights and automate process for reducing effort and time for repeated use. High agility to be able to work across various business domains. Able to use business presentations, smart visualization tools and contextual story-telling to translate findings back to business users with a clear impact.
  • Propose and implement innovative statistical methods to optimize drug development.
  • Establish and maintain sound working relationships and effective communication with the Clinical Colleagues and Biostatistics & Pharmacometrics team.

Key performance indicators:

  • Timely delivery of high-quality statistical deliverables, innovative designs and analyses to reduce development time and cost and to meet the needs of the clinical trial team

Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:

  • PhD (in Statistics or equivalent) with 6+ years relevant work experience

Skills:

  • Proven knowledge and expertise in statistical and its application, and data exploration skills. Demonstrated excellence in use of statistical software packages (e.g., R). Expert skills to facilitate and maximize the contribution of quantitative team.
